    Must I Be Completely Undressed to Receive a Massage?

    The style of massage that we focus on involves direct contact with the skin, so you will need to uncover the parts of the body where we are working. Most clients undress completely and the parts of the body not being worked on are draped appropriately with sheets and/or towels during the massage; however, some clients feel more comfortable, especially during the first sessions, leaving some clothing on. It is entirely up to you, and you can undress to your personal level of comfort. Your therapist will never judge you for the decisions you make about your level of comfort in undressing.

      Our office is conveniently located near the intersection of California Ave. and Temescal St., right next to the Slocum House, in the heart of Old Fair Oaks Village, next to Orangevale, Citrus Heights, and Gold River. Our offices and massage rooms are warm, comfortable, and private spaces, including three rooms available for tandem or couples massages. We usually use soft music to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort, with sheets, pillows, and bolsters to keep you comfortable, safe and relaxed.

    What Should I do Durring My Massage/ Bodywork Session?

    Prior to the massage, feel free to ask the practitioner any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During the massage, make yourself comfortable. The practitioner will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session (such as lifting your arm). Many people just close their eyes and completely relax, communicating if/when they need more or less pressure, another blanket, or anything else relevant to the session.
