• What Do Various Professional Certifications And Certain Certifying Organizations Represent? (CMT, CMP, NCTMB, ICF)

  • Professional memberships and certifications show an advanced level of education, training, experience, and knowledge in a given area. Every Inner Harmony practitioner holds certification from one or more of the most recognized organizations within their areas of specialty.

For example, all of our massage therapists are certified by the California Massage Therapy Council, which means that each therapist has a specific level of education from a recognized, accredited school, has passed a background check, and maintains and upholds the highest ethical and professional standards in the field. Some of our therapists also hold the National Certification Board in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork credential (NCTMB), which is a nationally recognized credential. Therapists with this credential have passed a comprehensive written exam, completed advanced training and education in the field, hold high ethical and professional standards, and are required to maintain ongoing continuing education requirements each year.

In the coaching field, the International Coaching Federation is the largest and most recognized accreditor of coach training organizations, as well as setting the highest standards for coaching education and quality. ICF membership is open only to those with training from an accredited training program and who agree to uphold specific ethical and professional standards. The ICF is the only coaching organization universally recognized by Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, mental health agencies, and other professional training organizations, and indicates a strong level of commitment to excellence on the part of the ICF-affiliated coach.
